Productivity. Drive. Achievement. Success. Ambition. Greatness.
Meet the Gods of the business/professional world.
We know them well.
They are powerful Gods. Highly revered. Highly sought after. They can bestow rewards, riches, recognition, power.
There are two paths to realize them. The conventional and an alternate.
Go after it.
On the conventional path, “it” = Prove your worth.
Convince the world. Make sure “they” see and recognize your shine.
Chase the Gods or die trying. Eye always on the goal.
This isn’t easy. There is a hunger on this path. To prove yourself. To be believed. To be seen. To be crowned.
If it is destined, one day you will reach the Gods.
Go after it.
On the alternate (scenic?) path, “it” = Create.
And tune out everything else. Seen or unseen. Recognized or not. Loved by the boss/peers or not.
All your energy focused on mastery. Mastery of your craft/art. On learning. On growth.
You believe in yourself. You see yourself. You crown yourself.
Nothing to prove, nothing to chase.
This isn’t easy either. It demands immense courage and self-confidence. Nothing egotistical. Nothing delusional. Nothing fake.
Just passion for your craft. Along with a deep knowing of yourself and your worth. (And if you have doubts, being real and facing them).
If it is destined, the Gods will seek you.
Chase vs. Attract.
Two paths to the same goal.
The world has us believe our only option is to chase. This is not the case.
Know there is another way. Know you don’t have to follow (or compete with) everyone else.
Whatever your path, may the Gods be with you.
Have a wonderful weekend,
-Amit
Two Paths
काम मत करो, काम की फ़िक्र को, और फ़िक्र का ज़िक्र करें। In English, another path is don’t work, but always think/worry about work, too much work OMG and the same you tell to everyone, your colleagues, Boss…,. OMG, my plate is full. Also if you do anything, go and tell to everyone, many times success comes from being vocal, Baby will not get milk if he/she doesn’t cry. Remember John Lennon’s quote “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end”. Good job Amit. Keep writing.
